Linux-ia64 by Rached Ben Mustapha (
rached@alinka.com
)
========
* David Mosberger announced [m1] a patch [l1] that makes 2.5.44 linux
kernel run on ia64 machines. As this is a quick patch, it only boots
with 'nosmp' command line and kernel profiling is disabled. After a
quite interesting thread, Kimio Suganuma posted a patch [m2] that
ports i386's percpu initialization. David Mosberger then posted [m3]
a new patch [l2] with this fix, that boots twice out of three
times on Big Sur.
